 The Challenge

The goal is to create a light and compact remote vehicle that can travel in various terrains.


 
 

Design Process

Brainstorming and prototyping was essential in the early stage of the design process. I operated laser cutter and hand tools to build prototypes which allowed us to validate climbing ability of vehicle. A modified Ackermann steering system as well as drum brakes was implemented to tackle competition tracks.

Competition

The vehicle was ranked 1st in both weight and volume out of 15 other competition vehicles.
